Privacy Policy

Overview

BVS Capture ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension developed by BVS Digital. This privacy policy explains how the Extension handles your information. The short answer: it doesn't collect any.

Data Collection

BVS Capture does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or browsing information. Specifically:

• No personal information is collected (name, email, etc.)
• No browsing history or activity is tracked
• No analytics or telemetry data is gathered
• No data is sent to external servers
• No cookies or tracking pixels are used
• No user accounts are required

How the Extension Works

BVS Capture captures screenshots of web pages entirely within your browser. The process is as follows:

• The extension captures the visible area of your active tab using Chrome's built-in captureVisibleTab API
• It scrolls the page and captures each viewport section
• All captured images are stitched together locally in your browser's memory
• The final image or PDF is saved directly to your downloads folder
• No captured content is ever transmitted outside your browser

Permissions

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions, each for a specific functional purpose:

• activeTab — Access the current active tab to capture its visual content. Only activated when you click the extension or use the keyboard shortcut.
• scripting — Inject the content script that handles page scrolling and image stitching.
• downloads — Save the captured screenshot or PDF to your downloads folder.

These are the minimum permissions required for the extension to function. No broad browsing permissions are requested.

Third-Party Services

BVS Capture does not use any third-party services, libraries, or APIs. There are no external dependencies, no CDN resources, and no remote code execution. The entire extension runs locally on your device.

Data Storage

The Extension does not store any data persistently. Captured screenshots exist only temporarily in browser memory during the capture process and are immediately saved to your downloads folder. No data persists after the capture is complete.

Children's Privacy

The Extension does not collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected at all, there are no special concerns regarding children's privacy.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Any significant changes will be communicated through the Chrome Web Store listing.
